Toronto’s alt-rock revolution

Since their formation in 2014, The Detours have become one of Toronto’s most celebrated young bands. Their authentic spin on Alternative Rock have garnered them an ever-growing following of fans and critics alike.

Their 2017 debut album marries the bands diverse influences into an addictive, accessible, 9-song LP. The record flows through pop tones and rhythmic punk-influenced riffs, accompanied by memorable narrative lyrics.

Taking their energetic live sound into the studio, The Detours are excited to announce the release of Miss Dangerous, a brand new 5-track EP. Recorded live-off-the-floor at Union Sound in Corktown, the album captures the feel of a wild show in a crowded Toronto venue.

Now performing regularly at legendary downtown venues like Lee’s Palace and the Horseshoe Tavern, the band cut their teeth playing Toronto’s West end indie circuit, and have been honing their live sound since 2014. The Miss Dangerous EP aims to bring the atmosphere of their live performance to a cohesive album format.

“The breadth of their influences instantly drew me to them. This is rare. This is the real article.” – producer DEREK DOWNHAM
